CI Games has announced that a sequel to Lords of the Fallen is currently in development, and it most likely will not be sold on Steam for its PC release.

CI Games revealed that Epic Games has the exclusive distribution rights for the Lords of the Fallen sequel on PC for its entire product life cycle. However, the IP rights and publishing rights for other platforms, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, remain with CI Games. It’s been almost six years since a new Mega Man game came out, but Capcom claims it still has future plans for the franchise. The company was asked about the Blue Bomber series during a recent shareholders meeting.

According to VGC, a person inquired about what’s going on with the traditionally side-scrolling series, which hasn’t seen a new entry since Mega Man 11 in 2018. Capcom responded: “Mega Man is one of our highly valued IPs, and we are considering how to create games for it on an ongoing basis.”

Sony will announce and release a PlayStation 5 Pro device this year, and a new State of Play broadcast where it could be announced is on tap for September, according to reporter Jeff Grubb of GameSpot sister site Giant Bomb.

Speaking on the Game Mess Mornings show, Grubb reacted to the report that the PS5 Pro was apparently an open secret at Gamescom recently, as developers prepared games for it. Grubb said, “The last I heard, this thing [the PS5 Pro] is still coming out this year. When Microsoft was in the regulatory process of acquiring Activision Blizzard, there were some “dark days,” Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said in an interview with IGN. He said Microsoft had to plan for “all contingencies,” and that included the deal not getting done.
